In the Craft, the Book of Psalms is seen as a book of magic. Magicians are recorded as using psalms as far back as medieval times.

Although it's very nice to have a pretty book to read from when working your magic, you can always simply read your psalms straight from a Bible, or off your smart phone. The magical seeds are in the Psalms themselves, not the actual books which house them.
